C++ Exporter Pipelines Engineer

Hangar 13  |   Type of Contract: Full-time

We are looking for a seasoned programmer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is looking to push the boundaries of our proprietary cutting edge game engine.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for design and implementation of 3D data exporters
  • Communicate with artists and designers about their needs and help them with the creation of stunning visuals within technical requirements
  • Help technical artist defining cutting edge production pipelines for proprietary technology
  • Write code that meets the functional and technical requirements of the project
  • Provide the Lead Programmer with feedback regarding the time allotted to assigned tasks
  • Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles and generate solutions to overcome identified risks

Who we think will be a great fit:

  • 3+ years of programming experience on commercial software projects
  • Expertise in C++
  • Expertise in C# os a plus
  • Strong 3D math skills
  • Good knowledge of 3D modelling software such as 3ds Max and Maya, and their scripting APIs
  • Good knowledge of asset pipelines (meshes, materials, textures, and shaders)
  • Knowledge about additional game art features: skinning, morphs, collisions...
  • Ability to research, analyze and optimize code to meet performance requirements
  • Ability to learn and master new technologies and code
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under reasonable deadlines
  • Background in art or passion for it is a plus
