Cutscene Editor

Hangar 13  |   Type of Contract: Full-time

We are looking for a talented and reliable colleague for the position of a Cutscene editor who will contribute with his/her technical knowledge, motivation, and skills to create our games. The Cutscene editor is responsible for processing film sequences based on the screenplay (arranging characters, camera, general composition, lighting and editing). In cooperation with the animators, vfx artists, sound and lighting engineers s/he provides the project with the final, breath-taking mood and look in the quality close to the biggest blockbusters.


  • Precise processing of film sequences in order to achieve a high quality while keeping all the requirements defined by the project
  • Adapting to and respecting the concepts and styles of the projects
  • Cooperation with the animators and sound engineers in order to transform the intended design (screenplay) live into the game and to make the film sequences provide atmosphere and visual drama
  • Searching for new solutions and improvements of the tools and procedures for the development of film sequences and the maximum use of the existing tools and procedures
  • Self-education in terms of film production and keeping track of new trends in the given discipline


  • Impressive portfolio demonstrating strong audiovisual narrative abilities
  • Secondary school or university degree at Cinematics or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge of film narrative
  • Very good knowledge of editing in some of the robust types of software (Adobe Premiere, Edius, Avid, Final Cut etc.)
  • Exceptional video/film editing skills, (self)critical view of timing, animation, and movements of cameras, real objects and visual effects
  • Experience in directing/editing/camera (film, games, outsourced jobs, etc.)
  • Communicative knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of computer games

Nice to have:

  • Experience in film or theatrical production, screenwriting, cameras, direction, computer visualization, graphical art, classic or computer animation
  • Knowledge of postproduction tools (Adobe After Effect, Nuke, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
  • Experience in the game industry
  • Experience with some tracking/scheduling tool (Hansoft, Jira, Shotgun, Trello, …)
  • Interest in developing video games
